Why isn't Prozac available OTC?
The reason I stop taking it is because I am embarrassed about have to constantly ask my doctor for a refill. He always insists that I see him again. It's so unnecessary. All the medication does is make me efficient of facing the day and it's the only medication that works for me. I've never heard of an overdose and I don't see how it could possibly be abused. When I stopped taking it, my motivation to do ANYTHING go through the floor. I'm not trying to pass the buck; I know it's my problem. But the question remains: why isn't it available OTC?
