What is pressure support drying? how does it benefit lenient while on weaning process?

mechanical ventilation
Answers:
This is probably an inadequate space to answer this examine. The usual form of mechanical ventillation delivers a fixed breath volume (Tidal volume) with every breath, and usually a fixed rate as resourcefully. Pressure support ventillation just gives the patient satisfactory pressure to overcome the resistance of the circuit that includes the endotracheal tube and ventillator, but makes them expand their lungs on their own and determine their own breath volume. The patient does some of the work of breathing on their own, and is more prepared to breathe without the assistance of the ventillator

I'm also not sure what your horizontal of training is with this question, so I've greatly simplified the answer above, but the wikipedia article on this subject is actually fairly good, and worth a read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanical_…

I also suggest a book called "The ICU book" and you could read the section on pulmonary mechanics. It have great descriptions. Source(s): MD
