Is it average or ok to be aware of really dizzy after taking a Zyrtec?

i just took a Zyrtec chewable pill for the first time and now i feel really dizzy and i've almost faint a couple times and im wondering if i need to contact someone if this is not normal or if i should just rest and continue til it wears off.
Answers:
Yes, it can cause mild to severe dizziness or drowsiness. The busy chemical in zyrtec is structurally related to a powerful sedative particular as hydroxyzine. The change in the active ingredient contained by zyrtec is significant enough to reduce alot of the drowsy side effects, but this is probably the reason that drowsiness occur in some people. Also, drowiness occured more often contained by people taking zyrtec versus placebo in clinical studies.

Hope this helps Source(s): Med School
No, to be exact not normal, if you feel dizzy that is run of the mill, but if you almost faintr I would go tot eh doctor and stop taking them.
If your almost fainting then you should stop taking it. it may not be serious. but i've never hear of severe dizziness before. Source(s): Medical text.
