Can poison control trace your phone number?
Just curious....
Answers:
Anyone can trace your phone number. I hope you didn't do anything stupid.
Yes, they absolutely can trace it! If someone does calls surrounded by & is having a bad reaction or overdose they can trace it in recent times like 911. In order to call for support. As far as Yah00s' statement, Many large companies ask for your phone # to usually verify your acct & identity. Most large companies & call centers that cart the calls for big companies CAN see your phone # when the call routed to them. It pops up as soon as the call comes surrounded by, sometimes seconds before your call is even answered. Source(s): Personal/life experience
yeah.
you could go to jail for pranking them if its serious.
t isnt them that would trace the number, but they would give it to the police if in that was something serious going on. lets say someone stole something of mine, granted to call me, but chickened out after the call connected, i could take the guest id number and turn it in to the cops... or even find it in the phonebook beside enough patience.
the way i c it, anyone can, he might just be sitting right subsequent to you.
They should be able to, that way if you stop talking on the phone raison d`¨ētre you are dying of being poisoned, maybe you get to live.
Absolutely! They are a government agency, which if you haven't academic anything in the last three years, can tap phone lines, hone satelites to prospect inside homes, read your mind...
Yes they can by of late asking the operator to trace it for them
This depends on your phone service and theirs. Most residences and business hold caller id. However, your phone company may offer a phase called "Caller ID Block." In this case, on the business side, it may show up on their end as "Private" or "Unknown," surrounded by which case it would be EXTREMELY difficult for them to trace unless they were willing to discharge the phone company some money. Most companies won't go to the trouble, unless you are making viable threats to their business (like death threats, bomb threats, etc). Also, many companies that hold a "main" number or a 1-800 number (or 1-877 or 1-866, etc) and have a switchboard that does not track caller ID. Instead, your call is "routed" base on geographic region and call volume. This is why many larger companies ask for you to enter your phone number when you call. This information help them link your phone number to your account.
Honestly I dont know but I give attention to they do incase of an Emergency.
