A question for anyone who works surrounded by a hospital/medicine?

Are your scrubs new each time, or do you only just wash them? Is it the same for surgeons, doctors, nurses etc...?

Answers:
At most hospitals, the hospital washes them, or have a laundry service do it, if you wear their scrubs, which everyone in the operating room is required to do.

Nurses and aides who work outside the OR and wear their own scrubs thieve them home and wash them.
In the hospital I work in the surgical staff wears hospital scrub which are cleaned by the hospital and dispensed from a machine. Nurses, techs and other medical staff wear their own scrubs and have to launder them. Source(s): PA surgical / trauma critical prudence
You wash them. Source(s): hospital volunteer
