First of all, the RUMOR that Michael Jackson died of a Propofol overdose is pure nonsense; it seems that he died from a Propofol/Pethidine interaction, which is totally different.
Second, population keep saying that Propofol is an "intervenous drug." Uh, maybe if you use the prescribed ampules from a company like AstraZeneca. But actually, there are some Chinese and Indian off-labels that you can win in America where the mode of administration is suppository-based, if you obsession needles.
I know plenty of recreational Propofol users. The media acts like it's some sort of dodgy superdrug. Actually, it's a fairly standard hypnotic agent - it's not even a painkiller! - which has a quite typical mode of action on ionotropic receptors like Gaba-a.

I've given propofol to many thousands of patients, and can attest that it IS a dangerous drug. A little = sedation, for a time more = apnea (no breathing) and possible death.
If you have other drugs on board, the effects are stabilizer, and possibly synergistic.
Even in monitored patients, we sometimes are surprised by how little propofol it takes to cause apnea, or airway hurdle, even in young, healthy patients.
Even the "professional" abusers are bound to attain caught up sometime. I've known a few anesthesiologists and CRNAs who thought they could handle the drugs they be using because they knew so much about them. Turns out, the drugs always turn out to more than they bargain for.

Using a surgical drug is not intended for "recreational use" and your attempt to prove a decent point about any the "real" cause of Micheal Jackson's death is incredibly thin. Though the medium may have blown up the use of Propofol as an agent in his death, it still is not intended for the use that you ride bad as being okay for casual usage.

Even in the hospital setting (and I work within a large university hospital), propofol is ONLY used in the ICU or in the OR, more normally than not in patients who are intubated and being mechanically ventilate.
