What is commonplace blood pressure?

I was in the hospital recently and according to my medical documentation my blood pressure was 107/59. That was my BP while I was in that. I think I was hypotensive.
Answers:
you are right about being hypotensive. normal BP is around 120/80
though this BP is somewhat below what is considered "normal", it may actually be normal for you. if you customarily have a "high" BP & it suddenly dropped, that would be a cause for concern...but this BP by itself isn't anything to worry more or less. if you're experiencing symptoms associated w/ low BP, such as dizziness or lightheadedness upon standing, try increasing your fluid intake to help raise your BP.

also, strokes are typically associated with glorious BP, not low! it doesn't sound like you were at any risk for a stroke. Source(s): i'm a nurse!
Basically the rule is there is no authentic hypotension unless there are symptoms from it. The "normal" low end of diastolic BP is 60, so 59 is not concerning at all unless ten minutes earlier you were 160/100. Source(s): med student
Psh, my BP was 90/60 a few days ago, the nurse didn't do anything, or say anything in the region of it. I myself thought that was kind of low, but, he didn't talk in the region of it.
the scale for good b/p is 120/80 highest and lowest is 100/60 but it also depends on the patient some run low and i.e. normal for them but the 120/80 is average.
