I honestly dont know how much of a difference there is. BUT, being a contact wearer for almost 15 years, I would say dance to the doctor and ask their opinion on what you should do. They will probably give you a perscription for a different brand that properly fits.
Even if the difference is small, if your contacts dont properly fit your eyes, it can cause MASSIVE eye issues. Issues so big that I would be unwilling to cart the chance. Beyond that, no one but your doctor can adjust your perscrition. It would be illegal and a massive liability for the pharmacist (or where on earth ever you get your lenses) to give you contacts that do not exactly match your script.
Its moderately odd that the manufacturer has stopped making them. Many places dont take every size, but I have never had a problem ordering contacts if the retail location didnt take the specific size on hand.
