Medicine: how does college works?

Can someone please explain to me how the college from medicine works? Like, when you start, the subjects are generalized, right? As in, everyone studies the same?

Then after the three years, you specialize within something and in the last year you start residence? Am I right on this?

How long a residence takes?

Is diagnostician an specialization?
Answers:
In the US medical conservatory is 4 years and everyone takes the same classes and studies the same entity no matter what area of medicine they option to practice in the future. Prior to med school you have need of to complete 3-4 years of college and obtain a bachelors degree.
After graduating from med arts school you do a residency. The length depends on what type of residency you choose (medicine vs. surgery). There is no specialty known as diagnostician, unless you play a doctor on TV. Source(s): PA surgical critical care
