Do you HAVE TO do adjectives (surgery practice) surrounded by medical institution?
I don't want to become a surgeon or any doctor that does any cutting of any sort.
I would like to be a psychiatrist or something like that.
So surrounded by medical school, is it required for all students to practice cutting on cadaver even if I don't wanna be a cutting doctor?

Yes, you spend a year adjectives up a cadaver. You also spend a few months in a surgery rotation, but it's unlikely they'll let you do much cutting. It's mostly holding retractors and scut work.
You don't train surrounded by a specialty until after you finish med school, so we all get pretty much equal education to get the M.D.
Who knows, you could adapt your mind. Surgery is fascinating - almost as much as anesthesia is :)
Yes! That is what cadavers are for, to practice making certain incisions for certain kind of surgeries. I sure wouldn't want anyone practicing on me w/o having practiced on someone else, hopefully not someone alive!
It is like high closing biology. Did you take biology? We cut up everything from red worms to fetal pigs. But in biology, it was more resembling an autopsy or in animals it is a necropsy. In medical school even in nursing, you progress on to higher order of animal - called man/woman.
The psychiatrist have to get an MD before he gets his level in psychiatry. The brain and nervous system are the areas he would study, therefore he would own to dissect a brain, spinal cord, etc.
Do some research on the requirements of different specialties of the medical field. Check out what is required to be an Optomitrist. Perhaps the nerves of the eyes would be all you would study. I had my 6th graders dissect a cow eye, heart and lungs.
yes. it's to help you learn anatomy and physiology and you obligation to know this to be a well rounded doctor. if you dont want to do cutting, maybe you should become a psychologist (PhD within psychology) instead of a psychiatrist.
however, it doesnt like you have a plan really thought out. maybe another profession choice might be better for you.
