What are the advantages of taking up Occupational Therapy (OT)?

Flexible scheduling within most cases.
Breadth of practice: pediatrics, adults, hand therapy, burn rehab, acute rehab, rehab director.
Always being competent to find a job.
It pays well if you are an OT; a COTA makes give or take a few 1/2 of what an OT makes.
Massage's only role is in the assignment of some other therapy, such as in lympedema, when working on hands/burns or with a stroke forgiving. Source(s): I worked with OTs for 20 years.
