What formulate Doctors choose Medicine as a occupation?
Answers:
In many cases it is within the family,,, mum or dad is a doctor .. Financial remuneration is another major reason .
There are two kinds of doctors. One kind wants to release the world and the other thinks it is a great way to make money next to myriad variations in between the two. Medicine is a demanding profession that requires determination, persistence and a strong desire to support other people and improve their quality of natural life. Balancing these desires requires a high ethical and moral standard. Many of the doctors I know are under a great deal of pressure and consistency they aren't paid enough for the huge responsibilities and accountabilities that come with the duty. That is partly why entry to medical schools and universities requires a big academic standard, not because they necessarily want "smart" people; they need students who can in fact get through the course.
A relevant minority might (want to) do Medicine because they have be (seriously) ill themselves and have personally learn the way "Medicine" (doctors, nurses, ...) works...
You have to be "hurt" to be able to work near sick people.
Treating patients has *always* something to do with your own self.
1) A true and heartfelt desire to help other people. this is regularly fueled by having a parent, sibling, or friend who suffered or died from a disease.
-- OR --
2) A true and heartfelt desire to make LOTS of money.
This is likely to step away if the Obama Health Care Reform gets voted into place. These new rules will limit how much a doctor can charge for his services, thus limiting how much money the doctor can generate. The end result is the fewer and fewer childlike adults will choose medicine as a money making career.
Many reasons.
For me, the primary reason is intellectual stimulation, the challenge of a work that is always changing and is intense, and that what I do is purely plain fun (most of the time).
I do like to help people, and one the person that provides comfort to someone when they are most vulnerable is a good item.
I could make much more money doing other things, but I wouldn't be having as much fun. I'd be a good advocate, but I had problems with the whole "selling your soul" entry....
Our son have chosen to study to be a doctor at our suggestion. He is an excellent student, has leadership abilities, is empathetic and sure, he is diligent and persistant, he enjoys being with and helping relations and works VERY well under pressure. He hopes to become an ER doctor. Source(s): 'objective mom'
You would have to ask each one as they would have different reason:
To save lives?
For the money?
Family pressures?
We wallow in preventing sickness , treating patients and research Source(s): Self MD
well i do it cos i dont see any other way for me to be relieved in my career. However much money i make, i want to look back without too many regrets, have i not chosen medicine i would regret it.
The way i see it, if i became rich doing something else, i reflect id be happy for a while, but later on would consistency a vaccuum.
There is a satisfaction in being a doctor, of inkling a completeness you get when you do something good.
That adds to the stand up against aspect. I like the fact that medicine is difficult to swot and there is no end to the discoveries that are made in this corral, knowledge is changing and progressing and it would be impossible to know all of pills. I want to see how far i can go. Source(s): med student
