Codeine can, but it's not an allergic reaction. It's a potential side effect of opiates, but a moment ago in case, I would tell your doctor.
It's the penicillin. You are having an allergic reaction to it. My friend discovered she was allergic to penicillin when she get her wisdom teeth out two weeks ago. She broke out in a rash on her arms and frontage and had to be put on a different antibiotic. Stop taking it and call the oral surgeon immediately, because you stipulation another antibiotic and the penicillin needs to be flushed from your body before taking anything else.
Codeine is most likely to the the end in.
Penicillin is well known for the fact that various people are allergic but just having a itch is not really a Penicillin allergy.
Codeine and adjectives opiates release histamine and often can cause major itching. Many ancestors who abuse drugs (I don't mean to say you are) enjoy to take Benadryl (diphenhydramine), an anti-histamine, to help stop the itching.
When I take aching medications for my chronic pain I often start to itch somewhat.
Definitely call your doctor just to be safe. And it really is best to ring before you stop taking meds (except when you are on the verge of death). Especially antibiotics, where starting and stopping lead to antibiotic resistance.
