Being tired could tight many things - the sun sensitivity increase may be a clue - go see your doc soonest - maybe you requirement a medication change or maybe you are coming down with something unrelatein seventh heavenhe acne or the acne meds.
I don't think the medication is making you tired, but it is probably making you more sensitive to the sun ... that's the idea for the warning. Most of the anti-acne drugs can make patients more sensitive to the sun. The worst that would probably happen is irritation/inflammation of the skin (primarily on the face) and an increased risk of sunburn.

Good luck. Source(s): I'm an RN
I don't know about the tired part but yes do try to avoid too much exposure to the sun.
Perhaps you need to consult your doctor, not Yahoo Answers!
Since you did not mention which acne medication you are taking specifically, it is difficult for me to help you out. However from what you described surrounded by your question, I am leaning towards an educated guess that your dermatologist or GP have prescribed to you a drug called Accutane. If this is a correct assumption, then your symptoms are most likely attributable to that drug. Accutane is a pretty strong drug and for some patients, it is newly simply not tolerated because of the severity of the side effects. Along with the symptoms you have described, many patients also experience some minor fleece loss and severe dry skin.

When you go back to your doctor make sure to consent to he or she know how you are feeling. It will be helpful if you can write down any and ALL changes within the way you feel, your body, etc. that you have notice since you began the drug, and then take that register with you to present to your doctor. You may need to be switched off of this one medicine all together, or you may have to enjoy your dosage adjusted or have another med added to help mute the side effects.

If you are not talking about Accutane, then if you will provide the signature of the drug then I can better help you. Source(s): Phd Toxicology
