How does bradykinwithin impose cough?

Is the mechanism for this known?
Answers:
I'm not sure if the mechanism is prearranged, but I do know that if you're on an ACE inhibitor, it will increase the bradykinin in your system, thus causing you to cough.

I don't deem the mechanism of action is known though, sorry.
ACE inhibitors don't in actuality increase the amount of bradykinin in your system; they just inhibit the breakdown of it, chief to a dry, hacking, annoying cough. It must have something to do with the coughing center of the brain, but I'm really not sure of the exact contraption. Source(s): Pharmacy student
