both sudafed (pseudoephedrine) and sudafed PE (phenylephrine) are fine in pregnancy in reccomended doses. You can keep taking it if it's helping you.
Sudafed PE a short time ago got put on the market since the FDA said that pseudoephedrine had to be sold at the back the counter (meaning that you actually have to go ask the pharmacist for it). The company looked-for one pill out on the shelves that consumers could access easily. They're pretty functionally equivalent, but it's harder to make methamphetamines from phenylephrine. Source(s): I popped Day-Quil (contains phenylephrine) like candy for around two weeks while pregnant and sick. No harm done.
