Are nonspecific surgeons big anymore?
I'm seriously interested in being trauma surgeon (basically general surgeon next to critical care unit specialization training), but it seems to be overshadowed by big profile Anesthesiologists(i know not surgeons) and neurosurgeons.
I'd love neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgery, but they'res no excitement unless the trauma surgeons haven't stabilized the long-suffering.
NONETHELESS, is this true?
Are there too many general surgeons, and are they still exalted?

Yes, broad surgeons are important. Without them people will die. No there is not too masses general surgeons. In fact the country needs more doctors. Also, specialized doctors next to more training and experience will always overshadow you. You just have to business deal with it.
