A few question nearly Chantix for anyone who have tried it or know someone who have?
I want to quit smoking and heard a lot about Chantix. I hear that sometimes the side effects are worse then withdrawal. What kind of side effects did you draw from when you took it? And about how much is it without insurance? My biggest withdrawal symptom is usually depression. I don't contemplate my insurance covers it. I know I could google it, but I'd rather hear the truth right from someone who has experience with it.

possibly you should talk to your doctor about going on wellbutrin instead. im on it now to quit smoking and it have done wonders for me. it helps with the depression part of quitting, and the method it works is you take it and keep smoking how you would normally. eventually you basically dont have the desire to smoke at all. i have be on it 2 months now and dont even think about smoking! i lone have one more month of it left.
and wellbutrin is covered n by insurance.

-irritability
-dizziness
-restlessness
-diarrhea
-nausea
-flushing of skin
-excessive sweating
-muscle pain

I am paying $126 for a month's supply at Walgreens. This med is amazing ~ hubby and I are both on it, terribly few side effects, and no smoking for 4 weeks! The main side effect I notice is insomnia, but I can deal beside it. Your desire to smoke a cig decreases each day you're on Chantix. I hold felt no depression symptoms at all; in certainty, I feel a lot calmer than everyday.
