Please aid me, I'm so miserable!?
I'm a 15 year old female and have be very sick for almost 2 years now. I have be through tons of blood, urine, and stool tests. 2 Endoscopy/colonoscopy, abdominal ct, upper gi, and sweat test. I have also be psychologically cleared and it's not a nerve problem.
Here are my symptoms ~
* severe abdominal and stomach pain (2 years off and on for 5 years)
* severe nausea (5 years)
* severe solidity loss (now controlled by night time ng feeds)
* night fevers (1 year)
* fruitless headaches when I wake up (6 months)
* diarrhea 20 times a day (now constipated since tube feed started but comes back when off them. 2 years)
* severe rectal bleeding even in my pant (last few weeks)
* vision loss in right eye when I wake up (last couple weeks)
* fatigue (2 years)
* dizziness (this chronological week)
* joint pain (last 6 months)
* mouth ulcers (2 months)
I be diagnosed with crohn's, then i wasn't, then possibly, now probably not. I have already been tested for food allergies, celiac, fleas, infection, cystic fibrosis, ect...
My second GI doc once again diagnosed me with ibs and an eating disorder, which are both major misdiagnosis. He said that down the smudge he would do capsule endoscopy if it doesn't improve. I'm just so tired of individual sick! Am I just crazy and there is nothing wrong next to me?
My parents have Kaiser insurance (we live in northern ca) but none of the doctors can help me. Is their any process to get financial assistance at a non-kaiser hospital?
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
Answers:
my dear, just to pray to God that all your problem will be healed.
Don't listen to the guy that says to pray to God....
Don't ask for our proposal. Try to keep on living the best you can. Go to more doctors.
I hope everything works out well for you in the close...
All of us know there is no afterlife, so live it out babe.
Have you been tested for:
1) Heavy metal toxicities (lead, mercury, cadmium, etc.)?
2) Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)?
3) Intestinal Dysbiosis?
4) Intestinal Hyperpermeability (Leaky Gut Syndrome)?
5) Chemical sensitivities?
Also, if tube feed eliminates the diarrhea and eating food causes it to return, you specifically have some type of food intolerance. What type of testing did you have for Celiac Disease? Have you done a serious trial extent on a total gluten free diet? Celiac test results can be falsely negative - a gluten-free trial is the concluding 'diagnostic test'.
Finally, have you only seen medical doctors, or hold you also been evaluated by:
1) doctors (usual NOT medical doctors) with advanced training in nutrition?
2) doctors near advanced training in environmental medicine?
3) doctors with advanced training within functional medicine?
Best wishes and good luck.
Have you tried to ask god for help. Pray ask Jesus for his abet. I don't know you but I will pray for you.
Don't accept medical advice from the internet. The doctors at Kaiser are moderately good. Take their advice.
UCLA medical center is great, your parents can give somebody a lift you there?
Anyways, finding a doctor who is good with this can be tricky, don't pass up. And be picky. You have to.
The condition is called Ulcerative Colitis most likely, but ask a doctor to be sure.
The treatment is usually something close to this:
They should have run some stool samples, blood samples, colonoscopy, a bowel rest, No spicy or fatty foods at adjectives. Stay away from aspirin and antiinflammatory medications like Motrin. You need iron supplements or you can take a good dose in liver,(cook with onions). Unfortunately grey leafy greens have a lot of iron but I am afraid they would cause increases bowel hum...Ask doctor for dyclonomine, (a smooth muscle relaxer which is what your bowels are).. It will slow your bowel activity and give your small intestine time to absorb nutrients. You should hold been on a certain antibiotic for the ulcers, ask your doctor, also totally grasp rid of any kind acid in your diet, (coffee, colas, OJ, adjectives citrus fruit), drink plenty of fluids and if possible add a nutritional supplement like Ensure. Look up your disease on the internet, in that is a wealth of information for you, I looked.... Hope you feel better....Oh and reduce your stress as much as possible and grasp on an acid reduction medication like Prevacid, etc.
