PICKED UP MEDS AT PHARMACY WITH NO LABEL AND NOT MIXED? WHAT THE PHARMACIST LIABILITIES?
I picked up my sons meds today and one of them is powder form until they mix. MY understanding is that the pharmacist must check all meds that go surrounded by and out of store, they are now closed and nothing i can do till tomorrow i am furious and want to know what i can do because there is definitly a law/rule that he cannot be doing this? What can i do? Who do i contact within the board of pharmacy?

Take a open breath.
You have every right to be annoyed, but people make mistakes. I can guarantee that the pharmacist did not do this intentionally.
Take it put money on tomorrow and give the pharmacist a chance to fix this.
This is not the end of the world and I'm not enduring contacting th pharmacy board is necessary. It is not like he/she gave you the wrong pills.
As annoyed as you are, have you never made a mistake? Americans are so quick to sue and punish. If the pharmacist apologizes and fixes the problem, I think you should be content.
But heh, that's me. I've made mistakes. I am able to forgive.
The suspensions are not mixed until you come to pick it up. It have to do with expiration issues. They are placed in the ready bins short being mixed. Some pharmacies will place them in a special bag to remind the techs to mix them. Others will put a transcribe on the bag. At the end of the day, the pharmacy did not break any law/rule by not mixing the suspension. You can mix it yourself, surrounded by theory. The amount is normally listed on the bottle. The reality that they sold you the medication without a label is way more serious of an issue than not mixing it. Source(s): pharmacy student
Let me guess, it's amoxicillin? Call the pharmacy when they open in the morning. They'll either enjoy you bring it in & fix it, or tell you over the phone how much water to join. If it IS amoxicillin, they just use tap-water anyway.
You don't need to contact any boards of anything. You weren't given the WRONG stuff, just not reconstituted. Calm down, everything will be ok. Source(s): paramedic
sell then to a Drugi for $1000 say-so it quality material haha
But seriously i have no notion ask for a refund or store credit or talk to your local coucil
