What type of Littmann stethoscope is best for nursing students?

I am starting nursing school in a few months and I am needing to buy a stethoscope. Money is not a problem I am only unsure as to which one will work best. I am wanting to buy a Littmann but can't decide between the cardiology iii, or classic ii or classic s.e.

I love my Littmann(R) Lightweight II S.E. Stethoscope It comes in many colors that game our uniforms it is lightweight so that when we have long shifts they don't feel filling across our necks. Many of my fellow nursing students have the same model. It have great sound as compared to some of my friends stethoscopes or the lame ones we had in our lab during first semester! Ug. If you hold set your heart on a Littmann then fine, but as a nursing student you really do not need anything as expensive. For your purposes a cheaper one will do just as okay. Otherwise go for a classic rather than a cardiology. Source(s): 38 years in drug
