Do right and vanished ears correspond to different brain hemispheres?
Answers:
Auditory pathways ascend bilaterally. Most of conscious/discernable auditory information is crossed, meaning the left ear go to the right hemisphere. However, a significant amount of auditory information is uncrossed and in part relates to sound localization.
It is primarily the uncrossed information specifically assessed during brainstem auditory evoked potentials which is known because if there is a brainstem injury above where some informations crosses, it will still affect the ipsilateral ear response.
Right hemisphere corressponds to the not here ear, and vice-versa.
