Metabolic alkalosis from IRON?

Could iron accumulation in our bodies lead to metabolic alkalosis?
Answers:
if the iron cause cirrhosis of the liver, then the liver's ability to destroy aldosterone could go down. High levels of aldosterone promote metabolic alkalosis.
