What living would you prefer?
i am interested in becoming a doctor, but I am only in title 9. I have no idea what kind of doctor I want to be so I am looking for some opinion on doctor types. Also, a description of what they do.
What do you think of dermatology or a pediatrician?

At your age, you can volunteer at your local hospital and see the doctors in action. That should serve you decide on your future career, and it make you look good when you apply for scholarships.
You don't decide on a specialty until you are ready to finish medical academy, so no hurry. Even if you chose something now, you'd probably change your mind once you get contained by there are actually do the work.
I thought I wanted to be a pediatrician, but changed my mind completely quickly after doing my peds rotation in med school. The kids are OK, but the parents are a torment in the butt. It took every bit of strength I had not to slap some of them.
If you want to go into derm, better receive ALL A's, all the time. Very competitive.
Personally, I'd be bored with either. Not adequate excitement for me. Or needles. :) Source(s): I'm an anesthesiologist. It's more fun than it looks like.
