How is prescription relevant to biology?
Answers:
Since tablets is about sustaining the health of a biological organism, the two are inextricably linked. It would be similar to trying to ask how water is relevant to rivers.
Medicine provides a means to either enhance a biologic pathway or inhibit one (or more) depending on what you are trying to achieve.
A lot of cancer drugs for example, inhibit the pathway that govern cell growth, which is why so many people lose their hair when they travel through chemo.
Through enhancement, some drugs can act as a catalyst to increase biological activity.
Well I believe we could all come up with a list that would be hundreds of page long to answer this question, and we would still be leaving out things.
The simple answer is biology is the study of life. Since tablets is the science that is targeted to treating illnesses, diseases, disorders, injuries, etc. of living organisms, then you need to enjoy an understanding of how such organisms work, function and are put together.
Look at it like this, a rocket scientist that works on rocket ships for NASA is specialized and his/her function may be to repair and improve the picky rocket ships in which he/she works on. However, he or she could not do any of this, without an understanding and working knowledge-base of the study of mechanics, physics and engineering. So, merely like this example, a doctor, nurse or research scientist in the medical field, could not complete his or her job without first understanding the principal and underlying principles that are unique to the organisms in which they work on or work with. You cannot fix, treat or boost something that you know nothing about. It is as simple as by leraning biology, you are starting at the begining and then by going into drug you would just be refining and addin to, those primary priniciples that you learned in the begining (Biology). The same go for chemistry and how it is relevant to Medicine. Source(s): Toxicologist
