Doctors prescribing steroids?
At what age do doctors usually prescribe them to children? Is there a set age?
Im asking because my doctor tried prescribing me predinosone. I read about the cushings features (a BIG BIG MOON FACE......a big HUMP on your back, notion ANGRY/SAD all the time, etc),
and fluished em down the toilet. Age 15/16.
He told me see em next week after prescribin.
I saw em. I was fine. Cured.
He assumed i took that satanic drug.

yeap completley diffrent roids. i have taken the good and bad and as far as the fruitless go, you dont take a shot and wake up the subsequent day bigger. this is something that takes months-through multiple years of on and off cycle. and mood change, if your a jerk before, your a jerk during. otherwhys nil diffrent then over the shelf test boosters
What the hell are you talking about? Those steroids are different than the kind that athletes take. Yes, they have side effects, but they are very moral drugs that can cure/treat a lot of diseases. If your doctor gives you a drug, you need to lift it or ask him for an alternative.
I've been on steroids more times in my life than I can count. All they did be make me a little moody. They're really not that bad and they're different than the ones the athletes transport.
The Cushing's syndrome you read around comes only with large doses over months' regular use, so you jump to an unwarranted conclusion.
Yes, we prescribe prednisone even to small babies, and usually with no significant side-effects. Not only are they far from satanic, they're often life-saving. Next time you run to the doctor, tell him about this episode. If you'd rather not be treated for minor illnesses, that will be fine near him, and if he knows your personality, he'll be able to contest his treatment to your wishes. Personally, I've been practicing medicine for three decades, and I have however to figure out why people want me to treat their colds, tummy viruses, and poison ivy, since they'll adjectives go away nicely without prescriptions, but that seem not to slow them down in demanding drugs.
