Is becoming a Psychiatrist LONGER & HARDER than becoming a Doctor?
Psychiatrists have to study at medical school for 5/6 years same as a Doctor. For Doctors, I assume the road ends here right? Please tell me if I'm wrong.
Anyway, a Psychiatrist consequently undergoes a foundation programme of 2 years and then if you want to become specialised you have to study more for 6 years?

To become a doctor, you have to finish a medical school program. After you have finished it, you are a doctor. What we send for, General Practitioner but not a specialist.
To be a specialist, you have to spend 4 to 8 more years in training.
The system in the UK is different from here surrounded by the US, but our system is such that medical school is only the beginning of things, and respectively graduate must train in his specialty. Psychiatry requires a training program about the same length as other specialties. In your system, the psychiatrist may own more training than a GP, but less than other specialists/consultants.
