is there any books that i could purchase that would learn me everything that could be possible to learn. possibly a book that have pictures and text. i have sen a book called clinical prescription. i would like a book like this one or the anatomy of medicine. please abet

There are a lot of books out there on medicine because in attendance are a lot of specialties, sub-specialties and different areas of medicine...even in surgery.
Are you graduate from college? Or are you graduating from High School. If from high school, after you need to just focus on your undergraduate career (it will be strong enough if you go premed or biology or chemistry) and your adviser and your professors will donate you the best reading and text that you will need.
If you are graduating from college, after I would suggest reading the book called, "Harvard Med". It is a great book just about med institution in general. Then you should get a PDR current edition (these are expensive but you may know how to find a used copy), the Merck Index, Gray's Anatomy, the DIH current edition and I always recommend the "coloring book" series of text....they have the anatomy Coloring book as economically as some more specialized ones. I know it seems like some kiddy thing, but it is not. It is a completely effective tool for learning anatomy as it incorporates both visual and kinesthetic study styles in one text.
Aside from that, the best things to do to learn, is to walk do an internship or a part time job or even volunteer for a local teaching hospital or even a non-teaching hospital. If you can, try to bring back in with the gross anatomy lab for the teaching hospital and if no culture hosptial is around then go for the medical examiner or coroner's office....as expected it depends on how old you are...I believe you will have to be at least 18 to do any one of those....but check it out. Like anything else, Medicine is a field in which you build your knowledge one horizontal at a time. So looking at an anatomy book will only teach you where the parts are, not a bit correlation with some disease process. Medical Textbooks use language that most people do not use, and swot in lectures in Medical School. So-- you really cannot be a self-taught physician.
If you want to look at anatomy just to achieve a feel for it, fine.
Grant's Atas of Anatomy is a good Anatomy book, and the books by Frank Netter are superb. They also hand over you some insight into disease processes.
