Reading prescriptions? REVISED plz come final?

Hi I know I just posted this but I'm taking a Biomed course and our HOMEWORK is to translate a bunch of different stuff like Ativan 10 mg IM q.4h p.r.n. agitation. A question on the bottom asks what to do if no method of regime is written and we dont have a book and the internet is useless and im reallllyyyy curious. Your help is appreciated :)
Answers:
The Rx has a member called the signature ( sig:) that gives instructions on the dose and means of command. Sometime it is not really necessary. Capsules do not really NEED instructions to take by mouth, and injectables are pretty obvious as all right. Nonetheless, if there are no instructions, the Pharmacist calls the physician about it.

Ativan 10 milligrams Intramuscularly as needed for agitation.
