Answers:
No.

Why do you have leftover stuff from like 18 months ago
The effectiveness of the drug will not be as potent as a new prescription. I would recommend against not taking it for the optimum results.
Dude NO! You could really mess up your kidneys. If I remember correctly, I think it is because amoxicillin becomes uber-potent when it passes its shelf time. No, don't just take half the dosage! Flush it down the toilet and take new amoxicillin! Really, if you have an infection, you run the risk of a superinfection if you "abuse" antibiotics. I know health vigilance sucks in this country, but try to get your doc to reduce the cost for the department visit. Don't worry about the price of the Rx because it is usually something approaching a dollar at most Wal-Marts. Getting a proper diagnosis is still important because you don't want to use amoxicillin for a different kind of infection than what it was prescribed for (it may not work) Source(s): Former Dental Assistant. Researched it when expired Rx come in a shipment to the office. Thank goodness not a soul took any before I returned it.
