Why doesn't a pregnant merciful contained by Trendelenburg position risk aortocaval compression?

One of the positions recommended for the emergency transport of a pregnant mother presenting with a prolapsed umbilical cord is the Trendelenburg position. The rationale is to keep the weight of the infant bad of the umbilical cord. Why isn't supine hypotensive syndrome a concern for the mother?
