What effect do significant amounts of UV radiation enjoy on the human body?
Answers:
UV is mutagenic and its effects are felt in the DNA of your cells. The breakers actually break down the DNA molecule which changes the ways genes operate and the way polypeptides are synthesized. Most prominently cancer is a consequence, but ultimately strong enough UV exposure will kill a cell which can damage organs (like your skin). The effects of UV are exceedingly harmful at the molecular level, but eventually this can be felt within the systems of the human body.
Not good things, that's why space people are not thinking of travelling to Mars in the hard by future as the radiation they will be subjected to will take them out along the way, not unless the space ship have really thick walls and then would be the problem of getting it into space or constructing it in space.
short possession over- exposure of UV radiation can cause mild to severe sunburns. long term over-exposure may result in undisputed types of skin cancer, melanoma being the most severe. Source(s): PBS, WebMD, wikipedia
