The side effects of stopping a medication in need your physicians approval?

My boyfriend is on a lot of medication and has stopped taking a select number of the prescribed drugs about 5 months ago. He take LISINOPRIL 10MG,LEVOTHYROXINE 75 AND 100MCG,CRESTOR 10MG,GEODON 80MG,PANTOPRAZOLE SOD 40MG,METFORMIN 500MG,METOCLOPRAMIDE 5 AND 10MG,AND LAMOTRIGINE 100 AND 150 MG. OUT OF THOSE THE ONLY ONES HE CONTINUES TO TAKE ARE THE GEODON,METOCLOPRAMIDE 5MG,AND METFORMIN 500MG. HE HAS NOW STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS WHERE HE THROWS UP. COULD HE HAVE A SIDE EFFECT FROM STOPPING THOSE PRESCRIPTIONS ALL OF A SUDDEN AS VOMITING. I NEED TO KNOW A.S.A.P. THANKS SO MUCH.
Answers:
The pantoprazole is specifically to prevent the symptoms of acid reflux; if his reflux is sufficiently severe, it could cause vomiting.

The levothyroxine is to treat low thyroid levels; thyroid hormone is the body's trunk regulator of metabolism. Nausea and vomiting can be a symptom of severe deficiency.

By the way - the lisinopril treats high blood pressure, the Crestor treats elevated cholesterol; by stopping those, he runs the risk of heart attack or stroke. The lamotrigine usually treats seizures; without that, he might seize, if he have a history of it. (It's also sometimes used to treat psychiatric problems.) Source(s): I'm a doctor.
That could be quite dangerous. If you don't mind me asking, did he stop those drugs due to side effects, or lack of medical insurance? Source(s): I watch a man have a grand mal seizure surrounded by a Wal-Mart in rural Arizona, while on vacation last week. NOT a pretty verbs. I hope he survived, he was absolutely purple in the obverse and hands.
