Sounds stupid but i seriously want to know..... Is it possible to Overdose on Vitamins?
Answers:
no never to that, if there is too many of those vitamins nutrians and adjectives those stuff in your body , is very bad for you. Any point too much for your body is bad, except money lol
Only some vitamins. I only know about A and D. You can overdose on these and unless advised by a form professional or physician, should not take more than the directions state. You will know when you overdose on A and/or D because you can get throbbing headaches.
Vitamin C usually comes out contained by the urine if more than necessary is taken. However, pregnant women should not take exorbitant amounts of vitamin C because it can lead to serious problem. Please consult a pediatrician and/or ob/gyn if you stipulation this information. Your question was not stupid at all. In reality, it was very wise. Anyway, it is better to be not detrimental than sorry. Soooooo, ask on. (Smile)
Yes. It absolutely is possible to overdose on vitamins...
Fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K can be toxic at high doses. Some water-soluble vitamins can make happen negative reactions at high doses (eg: vitamin C will grounds diarrhea if taken orally at very high doses.)
The potassium discussed above is INJECTED potassium, not oral supplementation. And potassium is a mineral, not a vitamin. Nonetheless, there's really terrifically little reason to ever supplement potassium unless a deficiency has be identified.
The various vitamins and minerals in our bodies are in a fastidious balance... indiscriminate supplementation can throw off that balance un-necessarily. And that can own detrimental effects. Source(s): Naturopathic Doctor
actually yes. in fact, they use the nutrient potassium, a basic vitamin in fruit, they use it to kill people contained by death row. to execute sombody, they inject them with a lethal dose of potasium. but dont jump getin any ideas:).
Dr T is not altogether correct, while potassium (K+) is used in the injectable form for judicial execution, I have seen it used surrounded by a feeding tube to kill two different people (nurse be convicted).
