I'm with the sole purpose 16; can I impose sanctions to hold a inoculation shot?
Do I need my parent's permission, or can I just say-so "no"? Will I be forced to take a vaccination shot? Are there any "required" inoculation shots?
Answers:
my 16 year old sister ] refused the HPV shot, and the flu shot. They didn't hold her down or anything. They said "oh..okay"... and her doctor be a little rude about it, but there be nothing she could do.
I wouldn't refuse the tetanus shot though.....
I forgot to add, NO nearby are NO required immunizations. No immunizations are legally required. Some religions even ruling out this!
keep in mind, some workplaces [such as nursing] require certain immunization and procedures [tb test]
Even for school, there is an opt out program for parents who do not wish to inoculate their kids.
Actually you can and can not depending on the situation. Teenagers need persuaded vaccinations not only to keep themselves wholesome, but to prevent the transition of threatening diseases to other teens. But trust me kid, any reason you have against a vaccination is not really a obedient idea.
By age 16, you should have already had all your required immunization. Your parent or legal guardian must consent to any treatment. However, if you object, your doctor should make an physical exertion to get you to consensus. Legally speaking, unless you are an emancipated minor, you cannot refuse if your parent agrees, but I don't know any physician who would force a rational minor to take a shot he or she doesn't want. Source(s): I'm a doctor (but I only treat adults).
I don't think so since your still a minor, I hate those stupid shots :(
