Can stem cell replace the fancy contained by my lip?
I got into an accident when I was 10 years antiquated and the left side of my face looked like Frankenstein for 3 months. It's 6 years then, the damadges have healed the scarring has heal beautifully and I can see and all that but my lip has a giant bump on it and my gone side of my mouth is a bit lopsided. It has no feeling in it and it have me so self conscience. I am an extremely beautiful girl and no one ever bothers to ask my my mouth look so ****** up. (In MY Opinion) and I hate kissing because close to I said, can't feel it and I'm so terrified of what that must be like to smash against that!
I be wondering, although it would be terribly expensive I'm not worried about that is it possible through the use of stem cell to replenish my feeling and make my mouth beautiful again?
Or any other solid way?

There are only a few commonly used stem cell procedures today, like within bone marrow transplants. I'm pretty sure things like nerve regeneration using stem cell is still in the experimental stage. So some day they may be able to use stem cell to help you regain sensation in your lips.
Talk to your doctor and see if in that are any other alternatives. Peripheral nerves have been shown to regain function (those nerves not in your brain and spinal cord), so it *may* be possible for your nerves to come subsidise. However, I'm no neurologist, so it would be best to talk to a physician, like I said. Source(s): Pharmacy student
No. Stem cells won't regenerate the nerves between your lip and your brain. Sorry. I bet you are elegant. If someone wants to kiss you, they probably think you are beautiful.
