Phenylephrine Hydrochloride is advisable notto be taken with High blood pressure patients as it would worsen the patients situation, the chronic use might lead to hyperanemia.
phenylephrine is not really a placebo, it still works. It was actually around before pseudoephedrine, but pseudoephedrine works better, and if truth be told does not raise the blood pressure AS MUCH as phenylephrine does.
You really shoudlnt be taking them if you have HPB, but if its stable and undercontrol and you would only be taking some within the short term, its a question worth going over with your pharmacist more or less
It is not recommended that people with dignified blood pressure take phenylephrine hydrochloride, since it tends to increase blood pressure too. But it doesn't really work as well as psudophedrine hydochloride anyway.
We who own allergies to the point of facial numbness and sharp stabbing pains will take the stuff anyway, BP be hanged! But we do take BP medication which does help to control that side effect.

SUDAFED PE is the stuff you can buy OTC and have the phenylephrine hydrochloride. Pretty much a placebo anyway.
