A query in the order of figure % dilution of a med..?

If someone can explain to me how to solve this problem..

You have a bottle labeled 400mg/ml. The doctor says give 140mg of a 20% solution. How much will you grant? If your nursing implications say that no more than a 10% solution should be given - how will you administer the drug? I will give you a air. When we talk in terms of %s within drugs we are always talking about grams surrounded by 100ml. So 2% is 2 gms/100ml. You go from there.

I think I stipulation some clarification here. I do see your first question posed after, "The doctor says give 140 mg of a 20% solution", and later you ask how much will you give? Obviously the doctor said to give 140 mg, so that would be how much you would be giving. So are you really wanting to know that if you give the long-suffering 140 mg, then what is the % of the drug in the 20% solution in unit expressed as mg/ml or g/ml?

Then you ask if nursing implications indicate that you are not to give more than a 10% solution, then how are you to administer the drug? Are you reffering to the drug as surrounded by the form originally given by the doctor-the 140 mg of a 20% solution? Is this all in reference to the productive bottle which is 400 mg/ml, as in that 20% solution is made from diluting the contents from the original bottle?

Your ingenious bottle would translate into 0.4 g/mL, then a 20% solution of that would be 0.08 g/mL. If you then wanted to thieve this 0.08 g/mL (the 20% solution) solution and make it a 10% solution, then it would just obligation to be diluted by a factor of 2, which would make it a 0.04 g/mL solution.
