Was I suffering from vitamin C defect or scurvy?

Ok, I'm an idiot. Ever since I started handling my own diet around junior high, I haven't been eating powerfully. Ever since junior high though, I have had incredible cravings for food that have broccoli, orange juice, potatoes, pineapple on pizza, stuff like that. I even loved gulping down any soda citrus relatein seventh heavenn though I know, there's no Vitamin C in there. It got even worse contained by college. One time my brother came down and bought me a twister wrap from KFC, and the tomatoes in it tasted similar to the best thing in the world. I couldn't take the tomatoes out because it be a wrap, but I usually do. I usually like eating junk food close to hamburgers, hot dogs, but something felt like it was missing from my diet. Anyone that know me knows I LOVE broccoli. I didn't even realize it was loaded with Vitamin C until a few days ago!

So I'm intake more fruit, and eating it everyday. I guess I used to feel like crap previously, but eating fruit seems to complete my day immediately. I don't have the incredible cravings like I used to for all that stuff.

I'm sorry i cant help but its interesting that you have cravings for those particular foods.I've personally never had a desire for broccoli.
Maybe you own vit c deficiency or low folic acid?
Broccoli is packed full of folic bitter

Edit:people are under the misconception that if someone lives in a country resembling USA that they cant have any deficiencies. This is presumed because of the huge variety of products/fresh produce that society have in USA.The problem however is that even though theres a huge variety available that doesn't necessarily suggest that everyone is eating them and eating healthy meal.A person can have vitamin deficencies if he/she is existing on biscuits, lollies and coffee for example,or has something physically wrong to be exact interfering with the bodies ability to properly utilise nutrients,or in the shield of elderly, alcoholics, homeless,or majorly depressed people etc that arn't eating properly because of their illnesses and/or circumstances
Well, if you're black, I'd say you enjoy a KFC deficiency, which can be dangerous because if gone untreated, can lead to disorderly behavior like robbing banks, high-speed car chases and drive-by shootings. Also, watermelon is lofty in Vitamin C as well.
In college, contained by the good ol' US of A, I developed scurvy, I was cooking on a hotplate in a dorm, and ate mostly mac and cheese and grilled cheese sandwich, with egg salad most lunches.

My gums started bleeding, even when I bit into toast. I thought it might be periodontal disease (my dad had that) or leukemia, as I knew that be one of the first signs.

So I went to a dentist who told me to get some vitamin C and take it. I be so insulted that he did not take my concerns about leukemia seriously. So, I got some to appropriate and "show" him he was wrong.

Oops, guess what, it cleared it right up. That was aver 30 years ago, and I sure learned my lesson. Vitamin C is relatively natural to get in the diet, and even easier as a supplement.

I don't necessarily think your cravings be for vitamin C, probably just for a nice normal diet. After all, relations with iron deficiency crave things like plaster and dirt, which wouldn't address their individual deficiency.

Several other foods that are vegetable based, such as pico-de-gallo are good sources of vitamin C and other nutrients. Our relations thrives on it, and eats it daily.
for being relax take one multivitamin and minerals medication every 2 or 3 days

u dont have to be worry
you live in the US, no process ur getting a deficiency in anything...scruvy is the result of vit. c deficiency...so..theres no or....u simply like what u like because u do....no need to verbs about anything...
