well there are a few reasons....but the leading 2 are

heart disease - when the arteries clog up with fat (cholesterol) from fatty foods, the blood gets blocked and the blood cell keep coming until they plug up the artery and stop oxygen gettin to the heart.



thrombosis - when arteries are swollen/thick and high blood pressure can make the arteries clog up and motivation a lack of oxygen to the limb where the thrombosis is. this can efficiently lead to amputation of that limb. Source(s): me
