My husband have be taking multivitamins for relatively some time. Now he started taking ZINC,..?

He started feeling sick. Can it be the zinc?
Answers:
It's really common for zinc supplements to cause nausea, especially at doses of more than in the region of 15mg at a time. Since most multivitamins have some zinc in them, if he's taking an additional zinc sup he may own reached the threshold at which the nausea kicks in for him.

I'm next to Dr. Frank in wondering why he's taking the zinc, though. Aside from repleting a deficiency, there are few reason for the average Joe to supplement with this mineral. Source(s): Naturopathic Doctor
Any vitamin/supplement can cause stomach irritation. It very resourcefully could be the zinc because it started after he started to take it. Or it could a coincidence, it could be the fish he ate, the bacteria he was exposed to at work, etc. No one could read aloud for sure on here.

Logic would say to stop the zinc for 2-3 days and see if the sickness continues...
Both are basically pointless. What basic origin does he think he has for taking either, since neither contribute to on the way health in normal individuals? Source(s): GP for more years than I effort to remember
