How much longer does my great aunt enjoy to live?
She is 94 and a half. She can barely walk except next to a walker(she cannot walk outside alone, but only goes out surrounded by a wheelchair). She is very close to kidney failure and has problems next to potassium especially(she was hospitalized for high potassium levels concluding year for a week, and was hospitalized more recently for pneumonia for almost a week but recovered). She is on a low potassium diet. She has a collapsed lung from the tuberculosis she have 65 years ago. She has never smoked and never drank. She doesn't have diabetes, and never had cancer or a heart attack. She have been divorced for over 45 years and her ex husband died nearly 2 decades ago. She lives alone in senior housing but has a home attendant, and family connections is there every day. She only eat very small meals(rarely has an appetite) and is very undernourished, gaunt and has sunken cheeks. She's lost a lot of weight(15 to 20 lbs) over the past 2 years. She is on hydrochlorothiazide, calcium plus vitamin D and a multi-vitamin.
Her aortic stopcock is calcified and constricted. She is usually depressed, very nervous, usually just feel like dying, and has chronic insomnia. Her doctor said sleeping pills could kill her so he doesn't allow her to thieve them. How much longer do you think my great aunt has to live? I never get to see her doctor since I'm her great nephew, and my aunts and uncles haven't asked her doctor. The doctor did recommend she be put into a nursing home or hospice guardianship last time according to what they told me.
Her younger sister died a few years ago from a heart attack in her mid 80s, and their mother died in her 80s.
Whatever the answer is, I don't want to detail my family, but I think some people contained by my family are being unrealistic about clear in your mind things they expect of her, in my opinion.

My great grandma just died at 94 and her story be some what similar to yours. Usually after they call in hospice care it's pretty downhill from in that. They just drug them up to make the dying more comfortable until she's ready to dance. But if she's still up and walking around, even if it's with a walker, she might be alright for a while. According to my aunt, before you die near is this thing called the "death rattle"... When they breath it'll start to nouns kind of like a coffee maker.

If she's up and about, she could do fine for a moral while, there's no way to tell for sure. What's really important is for her to NOT go down.
Falling would almost certainly cause her to break her hips, and once she's bed bound she's in trouble. Encourage her to other use her walker, and to never reach or stretch beyond what she knows she can manage. Keep the carpet clear of objects that could trip her, or rugs that get bunched up around doors.
Despite all the endeavour you had in typing her entire story, there is no opening to predict how long she will live. She does have major medical problems, but people near such problems will surprise you, and often. I wouldn't give her much beyond a couple of years, would not be surprised at a couple of months, though.
Best wishes, I put my demented mother-in-law in a nursing home yesterday. Tough. She is particularly pleasant and accepting, though, makes it easier. She alternately knows her son, and declares that she never have any children of her own. On some level, I think it hurts my husband, but he is soldiering through this, although he is not sleeping well, I reflect on he imagines it as forboding of his future.
