Medicine VS Medical Science Degree?!?!?!?

I have just started in yr13 and i am looking at my uni option. i was looking particularly at uni of edinburgh..... it has two course one which is medical science and one which is medication...and the requirements for 'Medicine' are a lot higher than the other course.

i was wondering if you could still travel on to become a doctor with a degree in 'medical science'. i hold searched the web but cnt find nething about the difference contained by these two courses....PLEASE HELP!

Not exactly sure how medical school works in the UK, but you need to attain an MBBS degree. "Medical science" in Canada is usually a Bachelor of Science in Medical Science. Basically merely a biology degree focusing on anatomy, physiology, pathology, etc. It doesn't allow you to practice medicine here.

Check the lengths, direct entry MBBS courses within the UK are usually six years, whereas a bachelor of science is probably four. You could always apply to medical school after you do a bachelor of science, that's how we do it here.
