Taking tylenol next to codeine from 1987? will they be smaller quantity potent? how plentiful should i bear? it say 1-2 pills?

every 4-6 hours. if they are less potent how many do you think i should clutch. my dad gave them to me. they were in his hunting pack. i own a colposcopy/biopsy today and need them for pain.
