Whole bottle of Tussin DM while on Prozac?
Sorry, my brother just did that, he's having a rough time. He drank a brand new bottle of Tussin DM (118mL)... while on 20mg of Prozac.. Is he going to be okay?
Answers:
I presume I'd take Captain Suicide to the emergency room or contact Poison control immediately.

The Prozac won't interfere. He's probably just having a bit of a impossible trip. Try to make him throw up or just make sure he know this will all be over in about 5 hours.
First of adjectives, that's too much of the guaifenesin and dextromethorphan. These alone can give some pretty nasty side effects (seizures, psychosis, confusion, irritability).
Combined with an antidepressant, it can be even worse. Theoretically, serotonin syndrome can ensue when large amounts of dextromethorphan (DXM or DM) are mixed with an antidepressant.
Call poison control if you want to talk to an overdose specialist/ toxicologist: 1-8OO-222-1222.
Also, the severity of symptoms depends on how ancient he is and how much he weighs. Source(s): Pharmacy student
I would call the poison control center and report to them what happened. It's 1-8OO-222-1222. They will be able to tell you whether you should procure him to an ER or not.
