Questions almost Physician Assistants?
I've read up on what it is and what all they can do, but do Physicians Assistants specialize in fields approaching Cardiology? Can they partake in research also? Can they get a Ph.D in something similar to, Biochemistry and still be able to be a Physicians Assistant? Please, give me a little information roughly speaking all of this. lol. Thanks.

Yes they can specialize, and in certainty, there are cardiology PAs. There are even surgical PAs who can perform certain surgeries.
They seem from what I own read on academic qualifications to be qualified for graduate academic areas surrounded by health science or biology.
Butler University has a great program. They require a B.Sc. degree for entrance. Look at their bachelors Health Science scope and compare it to other schools, as it prepares students for medical or PA school.
A PA can work in any field of prescription. They are limited in their practice by their collaborating physician. So if they work for a cardiologist, they can work in cardiology, etc.
I am at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and in that is a PA who works in neurosurgery as a surgical assistant, but he also has his Ph.D. in anatomy and teach it and does research in the field.
