If you smoke 2 joins before you smoke 2, later all you have smoked at this point is 2...you are just motto that you smoked 2 before you are going to smoke 2.
Then you say you smoke 2 more, now you are referring the two within the first statement...the ones in which you smoked the first 2 before.
That gives you 2 + 2= 4
