How come they can stimulate the nerve to produce the "cold feeling" but not cause any of the changes (like vasoconstriction) close to the real cold would?

i really dont think menthol is a hydrocarbon at all..its similar to a organic compound taken out of mint
THey should never have invented Menthol...its a derivative of hydrocarbons..no long term studies have be done on it to search for cancer beginnings.
