Is near a Shortage of elevated kids?
I'm in tenth grade and I'm like the 4th tallest kid contained by the whole class and the shortest is like 5' maybe for a time less but when I look at the new kids at seventh grade ( my institution is 7th-12th only) I feel like they're 1st graders!
What is it? No more tall nation to reproduce with? Where are they? Are they endangered species now? Or are the exotic kids not eating enough? Is it the economy making their parents lose their job and house making the kids starve and sleep in shoe boxes making them shrink?!?!
Just in case your wondering they do not own dwarfism but even if that explains a lot, it's not the answer

No shortage of tall kids in my household. :) My kids' friends also tend to be on the tall side, except for the Vietnamese girl, and even she is several inches taller than her parents.
Perhaps you have an ethnic mix in your arts school of people that tend to be shorter?
