Can you overdose on anti-depressants?

Asking because I know that not all meds will kill you if u try to overdose. So will anti-depressants do it?

Yes. You can over-dose on anything.
Whether it will kill you, do permanent damage, or none,
is another story.
Just in the region of any over-dose will make you feel sick&miserable though.
yes you could be kill by it. The only meds i can think of which wouldnt kill you would maybes be things resembling calcium and vitamin supplements, but i know for a fact that prolonged overdosing of those does cause either kidney or liver sabotage (cant remember which)
You can overdose on any medication, overdosing is consuming more than the recommended amount. Whether its lethal is another story. Anti-depressants can effect lethal overdoses, depending on the amount you take. Furthermore, if you don't die from this; it puts you at risk for serotonin syndrome, liver and stomach damage, and other psychological effects. Source(s): Med School
